Chaminé do Gião, a parcel at the family estate, gives its name to the brand since 1998. A blend of Portuguese and international varieties, grown in our vineyards in Vidigueira, where the Mediterranean climate is moderated by gentle Atlantic breezes./strong>
The grapes were grown on the ancient clay over limestone soils surrounding the estate near Vidigueira. Each parcel was harvested separately according to ripeness. The fruit was destemmed and gently crushed, following fermentation under temperature control for 2 weeks in stainless steel tanks, with gentle punchdowns, pumpovers and delestage. Aged in tank on fine lees. The wine was blended and bottled at the estate on May 2020.
Intense, fresh red berry aromas. Vibrant fruit with a nice fresh acidity.
